ADMISSIONS

THE MAIN AND SIMPLE PRINCIPLE ON WHICH WE WORK IS A DESIRE TO MAKE EVERYONE FEEL WELCOME, WITHOUT PREDJUDICE, CAPACITY ALLOWING. WE BELIEVE THAT EVERY FAMILY LIVING IN BLACKROD, SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO EDUCATION IN BLACKROD IF THEY SO WISH. WE HAVE CLASS SIZES OF 30 IN YEARS RECEPTION, 1 & 2 AND 34 IN YEARS 3, 4, 5 & 6.

NURSERY—admission into the Nursery class is coordinated by the school. Children may start in the Nursery Class the term after they turn three. We do not have an admissions criteria for Nursery, places are allocated based on the spaces available. Contact the school office if you wish to discuss your requirements.  We are a flexible provision where children can access their entitlement to 15 or 30 hours childcare, however parents can also add on 

RECEPTION— Admission into the Reception class is coordinated by the local authority. Children start Reception in the academic year that they will turn five. If the school receives more than 30 applications then an admissions criteria applies. For further details please go online:

OTHER YEAR GROUP ADMISSIONS—We also have availability, from time to time , in other year groups. If you require a place please speak to Mrs Fletcher in the office who will advise you of the procedures to follow.
